We interrupt our amazingcat transmission to announce IT’S MAMA’S BIRTHDAY TODAY!! Or tomorrow… or yesterday, depending on your time zone. It’s time to break out the chocolate cake!!!! (Be sure to use brown sugar or blended raisins, or natural honey, plis.)
This is your official opportunity-almost-duty to dance the robot! Don’t forget to send her your birthday greetings -or you can write one here, because we’re really hoping she sees this! WE LOVE YOU, MAMA!!! Tons and tons.

PS: We really do eat spinach pie every Friday. (Or at least every other Friday… it’s market day.)

There was this kid who hated showering so much that he would fake-shower.
He would hop in the bath with all his clothes on and would splash water on his face and hair, while shouting “I’M SHOWERING!” as a big charade. The drops of water traced muddy rivulets down the sides of his face and neck, and his feet reeked all the way into the hall. I tell you, few things smell as bad as a damp, dirty kid. I remember one morning he climbed out of bed with actual dirt caked on his feet. Real garden dirt!
Mercifully, the happy ending to this story is that he outgrew this phase pretty quickly. He is now a handsome young fellow who knows who knows that witnessing, making friends -and life in general runs more smoothly when you’re clean.
